Сначала я напомню вам, что такое мнемоническое правило. Это некоторое утверждение, которое легко воспроизвести логически, и из которого можно получить более сложный факт, трудный для запоминания. В школьные годы, наверное, большинство из вас познакомились с правилом правой руки. Берём в правую руку карандаш, крутим его и видим, в какую сторону течет ток. Это же идеальное правило: с одной стороны, оно понятно даже для ребёнка, а с другой — из него можно получить весьма важную информацию.
Если с школьной физикой у меня не было больших проблем, то с английским языком — были. В частности, я никак не мог запомнить значения слов even и odd . Мне постоянно приходилось общаться к переводчику, чтобы в очередной раз увидеть перевод одного из этих слов.
Совсем не давно один мой знакомый рассказал мне, как он решил проблему Even и Odd — он тоже никак не мог запомнить эти слова. Он сказал: «посмотри на длину этих слов — теперь ты знаешь перевод этих слов». «О боги» — подумал я, как же это просто и логично. Ведь действительно:
